Important Changes Coming to the Parks

  • Ariel's Grotto at Magic Kingdom, a meet and greet with Ariel is returning starting January 22nd, 2023. There will be Lightning Lane access for this (included with the purchase of Genie+). I anticipate it being a popular Lightning Lane, but also easy to hit in the evening or score a LL later in the day.

  • Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom is permanently closing on January 23rd, 2023. It is being reimagined and will be Tiana's Bayou Adventure - which is tentatively going to open "late 2024".

  • Enchanted Tales with Belle at Magic Kingdom returns on February 19th, 2023. This will be a high-demand standby and Lightning Lane. It's an amazing experience attraction for young ones and families, so it's a must-do IMO. I'd book it as your 2nd Lightning Lane of the day if it's important, but also the standby wait should be reasonable in the morning.

  • Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios will close on February 20th, 2023 for an extended refurbishment that will likely last through Summer 2023.

  • Tron Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom will open on April 4th, 2023. It is highly likely that it will open with Virtual Queue and paid Individual Lightning Lane access only, with the Virtual Queue process being identical to the process of the current Guardians Virtual Queue at EPCOT. I also anticipate Seven Dwarfs Mine Train moving to the regular Genie+ Lightning Lane list, which means that attraction will take the #1 priority to book first thing in the morning.

Things you Need to know

Here is a list of things that I pack in my Disney Bag when I go.  Also make sure you take a empty water bottle and fill it up inside the park - IT IS FREEEEEE (at all quick service stations)
